  19. tampaknya alasan utama BBC bisa yakin hanya 6 buku yang rata-rata dibaca karena ini daftar "genre" buku yang sangat bervariasi.... biasanya kita cenderung baca satu atau dua genre yang kita suka.... :) Bagus juga ada daftar ini, jadi bisa nyocokin apa yang kira2 perlu kita baca :D (No Dan Brown for me, though :P)

    @ myshant: kalo kata temenku di fb yg lagi kuliah sastra di sana, wajar aja kalo kita belum baca semua, lha itu versi mereka. orang asli sana aja blm tentu baca, apalagi kita :D. tapi lumayan lah list ini buat jadi rekomen. aku ambil list ini di fb teman, dan ada komen lucu: who wants to read most of these books....BORING!!. Hahaha!

    @ kucingkembar: betul juga ya, mba. jujur, aku sampe skrg blm tergerak baca ulyseess, germinal dll. kebayang mabok kayaknya, hehe.

  22. Wah, nggak tahu juga kenapa. Mungkin akibat rasa solider sama teman2 yang Katolik yang dogmanya diacak-acak oleh Dan Brown? :).

    Kalau soal Ulysses, ada kawan dari Inggris yang bilang waktu dia baca Ulysses (Joyce), dia buka tiga buku sekaligus: Ulysses, buku "pengantar membaca Ulysses", dan Iliad. Kata dia baru dari situ bisa ngerti. Duh, repot bener... :D Mungkin deeyand perlu pake strategi ini... :D (Katanya penting membaca Greek classics untuk memahami cara berpikir orang Barat).

    Kalau Shakespeare (Hamlet ada dalam daftar di atas)... Nggak bisa dibaca, harus ditonton atau didengar dramatisasinya. Baru asik.

  26. Kalo baca buku dalam bentuk kertas sih baru 15, itu juga separonya boleh minjem :D
    Tapi kalau termasuk ebooks (thanks to my dopod, gutenberg.org and manybooks.net, hehe..) ya sekitar 55-an deh.. lumayan lah... :D
